Industrial robot

Industrial robot is a robot system used for manufacturing.

Industrial robots are automated, programmable and capable of movement on three or more axes.

Typical applications of robots include welding, painting, assembly, disassembly, pick and place for printed circuit boards, packaging and labeling, palletizing, product inspection, and testing; all accomplished with high endurance, speed, and precision.

They can assist in material handling.

Companion robot

Companion robot is a robot created for the purposes of creating real or apparent companionship for human beings.

Companion robot is AI robot, It could help people who deal with loneliness by simply just to listen to them.

Best example is robot named Buddy which is a friendly emotional robot that influences children, adults, and senior citizens.

Companion robot can be also a virtual chatbot like Xiaoice.

Robot End Effector

Robot end effector is the device at the end of a robotic arm, designed to interact with the environment.

The exact nature of this device depends on the application of the robot. End effectors may consist of a gripper or a tool.

The end effectors that can be used as tools serve various purposes, including spot-welding in an assembly, spray-painting where uniformity of painting is necessary, and other purposes where the working conditions are dangerous for human beings.

Tactile Sensor

Tactile sensor is a device that measures information arising from physical interaction with its environment.

Tactile sensors are generally modeled after the biological sense of cutaneous touch which is capable of detecting stimuli resulting from mechanical stimulation, temperature, and pain (although pain sensing is not common in artificial tactile sensors).

A common application of tactile sensors is in touchscreen devices on mobile phones and computing.

Ganty Robot

Ganty robot is a robot which has three degrees of freedom along the X, Y and Z coordinate system.

Usually consists of a spooling system (used as a crane), which when reeled or unreeled provides the up and down motion along the Z axis.

The spool can slide from left to right along a shaft which provides movement along the Z axis.

The spool and shaft can move forward and back along tracks which provide movement along the Y axis.
